                                    Description of Circuit Operation

The NXP PCF 7961 is an integrated microprocessor and UHF transmitter. The switch inputs wake up the
micro and the micro takes appropriate action depending on the switches status. If a switch is determined
pressed the micro enables the crystal oscillator and after a settling time the PLL. The microprocessor will
then send 112 bit packets of ASK data at 2.4 kbps every 125 ms until a minimum of 5 packets have been
sent and the switch has been released. After a transmission ends the microprocessor will disable the
PLL and Crystal and go into a low power state.
