Dear Sir/Madam:
Enclosed please find a Part 15.247 Class 2 permissive change application for our EOA—24MFA
certification. This device is a remote microphone and Bluetooth Gateway for our 2.4 GHz wireless
hearing aids that uses the Classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy protocols.
The change consists of adding 3 capacitors between the digital and analog ground plane, as shown
in the submitted schematic. In addition, the values of two capacitors in the matching network are
both changed to better match the antenna to the Classic Bluetooth radio IC.
No changes have been made to the Classic Bluetooth radio IC, the antenna itself, or any other RF
components besides what is listed here. No changes have been made at all to any Bluetooth Low
Energy RF components, the Bluetooth Low Energy antenna, or circuit layout.
The peak Classic Bluetooth antenna gain has changed from —5.75 to —3.25 dBi, an increase of around
2.50dB.
Further details and supporting documents are attached.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the undersigned.
Sincerely,

TteJercket
