STATEMENT OF INTENDED USE Para. 2.975 (a)(3) Grantee: ITRON, INC. FCC ID: EOgPNPCM The PNPCM data communications receiver is a 910—920 MHz companion to the PNPCM 100 mW transmitter operating on licensed frequencies and subject to the equipment authorization of verification under Section 101.139(e). Both transmitter and receiver are on a single PCMCIA plug in card. The PNPCM transmitter sends wake up signals to remotely located meter reading devices called ERT‘s. The ERT‘s transmit their stored data and the PNPCM receiver decodes and stores the received data in the Itron Model:GPC the hand held host for this PCMCIA card transceiver. This receiver is intended for use by Private and Public utilities in conjunction with licensed transmitter operation under Section 101 of the commission rules for the purpose of remotely gathering data from suitably equipped utility meters. This receiver has been tested and found to meet the provisions of Title 47, CFR Section 15.109(a) and is not subject to the transition requirements of Section 15.37. Page 5
