17 October 2018 Subject: Application for Limited Modular Approval Certification FCC ID: EO9OW3; IC: 864A-OW3 Dear Sir or Madam: The following information addresses the requirements to support a limited modular approval as required by FCC Part 15.212, Modular Transmitters. 1. The transmitter section is not fully shielded. Testing within the Cisco CGR 1240 host has been performed to assure compliance. • Host: FCC ID: LDKALTMT0556, IC: 2461B-ALTMT0556 2. The OW3 does not have external modulation input therefore none of the external data lines are used for modulation and buffering is not needed. The RF section is driven by an on-board MCU which controls RF modulation data lines and does not allow excessive modulation. 3. The modular transmitter has its own power regulation. 4. The limited modular transmitter uses antennas that are connected via a variety of connectors, cables and optional external filtering. With cases having a standard N connector, professional installation is required. All antenna configurations were tested to assure compliance. 5. The OW3 module was tested within the Host device. 6. The OW3 register module will be labeled as required. The host equipment will also have the required labeling. 7. All operating requirements are included in the installation manual. 8. MPE measurements are provided to demonstrate exposure compliance. There is a cautionary statement that is included in the installation manual stipulating the 20 cm separation distance.
