Compliance with 47 CFR 15.247(i)
                 “Systems operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner that ensures
                 that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy levels in excess of the Commission's
                 guidelines. See § 1.1307(b)(1) of this chapter.”

The RN-41 is a Bluetooth radio that will be installed in Intermec’s PB42 portable printer. The radio operates in the 2400-2483.5MHz
band. The maximum peak conducted output power is 10.33 mW (per the original radio test report FCC ID: T9JRN41-1). The antenna
used by Intermec is an internal chip antenna with a maximum gain of –2.83 dBi. The PB42 printer can be considered portable because
it can be used with body worn accessories that bring it within < 2.5 cm of the torso.

The maximum peak power is 5.38 mW (EIRP) for FCC ID: EHA-RN41. Therefore, the EUT does not require routine SAR evaluation
per “TCB Exclusions List”, footnote 3 (dated July 17, 2002, recently revised). See below:

        The exposure category is “General Population.” The distance is < 2.5 cm. Therefore the “Low Threshold” is 24.5 mW
        (EIRP) – above which routine SAR evaluation would be required. Since the maximum peak power of the EUT is 5.38 mW
        (EIRP), routine SAR evaluation is not required.

The applicant’s radio, FCC ID: EHA-RN41, is compliant with the requirements of 15.247(i).
