To Whom It May Concern,

Logitech is requesting an original certification for our unlicensed wireless adapter product called
“Wireless Speaker Adapter for Intel (R) Wireless Music”, Model #S-00112, FCC ID:
DZLS00112. The Logitech wireless adapter product will operate under FCC rules 47 CFR
15.247 as a DTS device and under FCC rules 47 CFR 15.407 as a UNII device. The product uses
the IEEE 802.11a/g protocol as a client device as defined within 47 CFR 15.202.

The wireless adapter contains a transceiver that is a low power device which is designed to be
placed at least 20cm away from the user to enable a cordless two-way transmission with a source
transceiver.

The wireless adapter device will be utilizing the frequency range of 2400MHz – 2483.5MHz
(802.11g Channels 1-11 with 1 channel spacing), 5150MHz – 5250MHz (802.11a Channels 36-
48 with 2 channel spacing), and 5725MHz - 5850MHz (802.11a Channels 149-165 with 4
channel spacing). All bands will employ a OFDM modulation scheme. Data rates of 6Mbps,
9Mbps, 12Mbps, 18Mbps, and 24Mbps are possible.

The radio has one dual-band antenna (Ethertronics WLAN 1000146). This configuration satisfies
the requirements of 47 CFR 15.203, as shown in later exhibits.
