FCC ID: AZ489FT4948 Date: May 2, 2018 Office of Engineering and Technology Laboratory Division Equipment Authorization Branch Federal Communications Commission Laboratory 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Subject: Application for Class 2 Permissive Change to FCC Authorized Transceiver with FCC ID: AZ489FT4948 Dear Sir/Madam, A permissive change is requested for the subject transceiver which is marketed in the United States and elsewhere. A. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT CHANGES: There are several components changed made within the Transmitter, VCO and Controller audio to improve radio performance including better efficiency, more robust of audio PA protection circuitry and chopper noise fix. The component changes are: 1) pin-to-pin compatible 2) has the same basic function as previous design 3) no change in radio parameters 4) does not impact PCB re-layout on Transmitter section. Changes involves passive components only which includes capacitor and resistor. And 2 new accessories are added into the family as listed below. Part Number Description PMLN6854A Otto Headset ELP connector PMLN7468A Otto OTH Headset ELP connector B. PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCES: EME and EMC observed degradation compared to original filling but still within FCC limits. C. CONCLUSION: This radio continues to meet all FCC emissions requirements for which authorization was granted.
