The Single Antenna Radar Altimeter (SARA) system (FCC ID: AOISARA) is an airborne
navigational aid that provides an accurate measurement of the distance between the
aircraft and the nearest terrain beneath it during the approach, landing, and climb-out
phases of aircraft operation. It contains an RF Module which transmits and receives RF
energy through one antenna in the appropriate Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) radar altimeter frequency range of 4.2 to 4.4 GHz.
Honeywell International Inc. is seeking an original certification under FCC Part 87.
