1.2 TUNE UP PROCEDURE
Alignment procedures are included in the draft Production Test Requirement (PTR) attached to
this report as Exhibit N. Both the FCC and the Federal Aviation Administration intend these
procedures for use only by factory personnel or by avionics repairmen. The only transmitter
control available to the equipment operator (the aircraft pilot or other flight crewmember) is
selection of the operating frequency channel.
