The following changes were made to the equipment, necessitating a Class II Permissive Change. Rockwell Collins simplified circuit design by replacing the obsolete phase-locked loop (PLL) Synthesizer and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with an Ultralow Noise Spurious Synthesizer with Integrated VCO. The existing RF amplifiers are obsolete and will be replaced with modern amplifier components as necessary to support the new design architecture. The TPR-901 synthesizer design requires software running on a microcontroller to configure the PLL during operation. The existing Atmel microcontroller is also obsolete and will be updated with another Atmel microcontroller in the same component family. The functionality of the software for programming the PLL during operation will remain unchanged. Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
