General warnings and cautions and related safety data

WARNING
Before you touch a unit or a component, ground your body with a conductive wrist
strap or other device. The device must use a 470K OHM (Ω) or 1M Ω series resistor
that limits current through the wrist strap to ground.

WARNING
Obey the standard safety precautions to prevent injury while you install or work
on this unit. For example wear safety glasses.

WARNING
This unit could have parts that contain dangerous materials. For example beryllium
oxide, acids, lithium, radioactive material, mercury or more. These materials can be
dangerous to you. To prevent injury from dangerous materials, read OSHA document
29CFR 1910.1000 (or its replacement document) when a part with dangerous materials
breaks. If you do not know if a part contains dangerous materials, DO NOT open or
disassemble it.

WARNING
Be careful around sealants, solvents and other chemical compounds. Do not put the
chemical compounds in high heat or near open flame. Use only with sufficient airflow.
DO NOT breathe the fumes. Prevent long contact with skin. Obey the manufacturer
warnings and cautions.

WARNING
Remove all power before you disassemble the unit.

WARNING
Professional installation is required. See Installation Control Document Installation 946-
0YE2-001D or later to properly install the unit in aircraft.

CAUTION
To avoid damage to a unit, turn off the unit before you disconnect the unit from the
power source.

CAUTION
Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESDS) devices. Normal clothing and floor coverings
make and hold a static charge. People that hold a low-energy static charge can damage
an ESDS device when they touch it. To prevent damage to ESDS devices, make sure that
the device and the surfaces that the device touches are grounded. Obey these
precautions:
• De-energize or remove all power, signal sources and loads.
• Put the unit on a grounded conductive surface.
• Ground the repair person with a conductive wrist strap or other device that
uses a 470K Ω or 1M Ω series resistor. The resistor limits current through the

wrist strap to the ground and protects the person.
• Ground all tools, for example solder equipment, that touch the unit. Tools that are not
grounded are grounded when touched or held by grounded personnel.
• The repair person must touch the conductive part of a container when a device
or assembly is put into or removed from that container.

• Do not use plastic bags unless the bags are made of a conductive material.
• Do not touch the ESDS devices or remove the devices from their packages,
until the device is necessary.
• To prevent damage from the Electrostatic Discharge, all soldering irons must align with
the rules in accordance with Joint Standard, J-STD-001, Appendix A.

CAUTION: Tune Up Procedure SSR-7610
The SSR-7610 Secure Server Router (FCC ID:AJK8223543) has no end user adjustable
settings for RF power or channel modification. All power and frequency settings are
finished at the manufacturer stage and a tamper resistant production seal is placed on
the external device. The end user is not allowed to modify power levels or frequency
ranges of device operation without expressed written consent of the product
manufacturer or the certification license of the modified device becomes void.

USA-Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device
must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which
can be determined by tuning the equipment off and on, consult the aircraft manufacturer
for support.

Any changes or modifications to this certified unit not expressly approved by the aircraft
supplier responsible for compliance could void end user’s authority to operate the
equipment.

Caution: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation.
This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any
other antenna or transmitter other than the certified and approved equipment provided
by aircraft manufacturer.

This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an
uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a
minimum distance of 20 centimeters between the radiator and your body.
