Gentiemen:
In accordance with provisions of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and
Requlations, Parts 0.459 and 0.457(0)(2), Rockwell Colins hereby requests that exhibits
D (Block Disgrams), & (Schematics), J (Parts List/Tune—Up Information), and L
(Operational Description) for Equipment Certfcation ofthe WRAU—2120 MultiScan
Weather Redar Receiver/Transmitter (PCG 1D: AIK8222127) be withheld from public
disclosure.
Exhibits D (Block Diagrams), & (Schematics}, and J (Tune—Up Procedure/Parts List) have
information concerning signal processing methods and also methods used for alignment
and adjustment of tolerances of spectrum for the equipment.. The information is
confidential and is customarily guarded from competitors. In addition, we are requesting
confidentality for Exhbit L (Operation Diagrams) since it contains some Block Dlagrams.
If a competitor were to obtain any.of this iformation,it could use the Information to
reverse engineerthe WRAU—2120. As a result,the FCC should protect this information
from public disclosure under Exemption 4 of the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.5.C. 5
552(b)(4)) because disclosing the Information could reasonably be expected to cause
substantial competitive harm to Rocwell Collins, Inc.
