6. STANDALONE SAR TEST EXCLUSION CONSIDERATIONS
    6.1. FCC
SAR test exclusion in accordance with KDB 447498.

The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances
≤ 50 mm are determined by:
[(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW) / (min. test separation distance, mm)]·[√f(GHz)] ≤ 3.0, for
1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where
    • f(GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz
    • Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation
    • The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison
This test exclusion is applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50 mm and for
transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz. When the minimum test separation distance is <
5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is applied to determine SAR test exclusion.

The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances
> 50 mm are determined by:
1. {[Power allowed at numeric threshold for 50 mm)] + [(test separation distance – 50 mm)·(f(MHz)/150)]}
mW, for 100 MHz to 1500 MHz
         • f(MHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in MHz
2. {[Power allowed at numeric threshold for 50 mm)] + [(test separation distance – 50 mm)·10]} mW, for >
   1500 MHz and ≤ 6 GHz

SAR Exclusion Calculation Table for Portable Devices (separation distance < 50mm)
Frequency AVG Output power Separation Calculated
     Tx
(MHz) dBm mW distances (mm) Threshold
  BT - GFSK 2480 -1.804 0.66 5 0.2

Conclusion:
The computed values are < 3; therefore, the device qualifies for Standalone SAR test exclusion.

Maximum Declared Output Power, including tune up = 10 dBm (10 mW).
Actual Use Worst-Case Duty Cycle = 6.6%
Max. Source based time average EIRP = Max. EIRP – 10*log (1/DCF)
                                             10 dBm – 10*log (1/0.066) = -1.804 dBm (0.66 mW)

FCC ID: A94429638A IC: 3232A-429638A

6.2. ISED CANADA
The SAR exclusion table from RSS-102 issue 5 is reproduced below:

The minimum antenna to user distance that will be encountered in normal use is 5 < mm. This results in
an exemption limit of 4 mW at 2450 MHz.

Although the maximum target output power (including tune up, etc.) is 10 mW , when you factor real use
duty cycle and the source based time average, the target power is 0.085 dBm (1.02 mW) EIRP.
Therefore, the DUT qualifies for SAR test exclusion.

Calculations

Maximum Declared Output Power, including tune up = 10 dBm (10 mW).
Peak antenna gain = 1.89 dBi
Max. EIRP = 11.89 dBm (15.45 mW)
Actual Use Worst-Case Duty Cycle = 6.6%
Max. Source based time average EIRP = Max. EIRP – 10*log (1/DCF)
                                           11.89 dBm – 10*log (1/0.066) = 0.085 dBm (1.02 mW)

1.02 mW is less than the 4 mW limit.

                                       END OF TEST REPORT
