REQUEST FOR MODULAR APPROVAL


Dear Application Examiner:

RE: FCC ID: 2AGBW9290012630X

Philips is seeking application for modular approval of its Zigbee transceiver
module(referred to below as “the module”).
The module is a single modular.
The module meets the requirements for modular approval as detailed if FCC
Public Notice DA00-1407.Compliance to each of the requirements is described
below:

1.The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding.
The radio portion of the module is contained in its owe RF shielding.See external
photos in Exhibits.

2.The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs
The module has buffered data inputs to insure compliance with Part15
requirements under conditions of excessive data rates or over-modulation.

3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation
The module contains an onboard supply voltage regulator.

4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of
Section 15.203 and 15.204c.
The transmitter is used with the tested integral antenna.

5.The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration.
The module was tested in a stand-alone configuration.See test photo Exhibit.

6.The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number.


The module will be labeled with its own FCC ID number. See related exhibit.
If the module is installed inside of an end-product, the label will not be
Visible.In this case the OEM customer will be instructed to how to apply the
exterior label.

7. The modular transmitter must comply any specific rule or operating
requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must
provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such
requirements.
The module is compliance with all applicable FCC rules. Detail instructions are
given in the Users Manual.

8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure
requirement.
The module complies to FCC Part 15.247 and has a measured maximum
measured power output of 1.316mW(1.192 dBm)EIRP. See Test report exhibit.
The Module is compliance with all applicable FCC RF exposure requirement.
End-users and OEM operators must take necessary precaution so that the final
product complies with transmitter operating conditions for satisfy RF exposure
compliance.
