Ref: FCC Class II Permissive change for FCC ID: 2AEIM—QCA6234
            (Original Grant date: 12/14/2015)
            Applicant: Tesla Motors

   Dear Examiner,

This is to request a Class II permissive change for FCC ID: 2AEIM—QCA6234, originally granted
   on 12/14/2015.

The major change filed under this application is:

Change #1 Change classification from mobile module to portable module.
   Change #2 Remove UNII grant.
   Change #3 Remove BT grant.
   Change #4 Remove BLE grant.

Note that Line 8 of the board‘s instruction file inhibits the enabled—by—default 5GHz operation,
thereby preventing UNII and 5GHz WiFi operation. The instruction file is included below my
   signature.
The Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy functions are disabled by default and have to be overtly
enabled via enable commands to the QCA6234. These enabling commands are only sent from the
host side driver. Qualcomm has confirmed that Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy functionality
are disabled in the driver that they have provided to Tesla.

If you have any questions regarding this application, please feel free to contact me.
   Sincerely yours,

              xo Ltr,
