SAR Exclusion Letter Date of Issue: May 21, 2015

According to KDB 447498 section 4.3.1, the 1‐g SAR test exclusion thresholds at test separation
distance > 50 mm are determined by:

 [Power allowed at numeric threshold for 50 mm in step 1) + (test separation distance ‐ 50
      mm)∙( f(MHz)/150)] mW, at 100 MHz to 1500 MHz ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ formula (1)

 [Power allowed at numeric threshold for 50 mm in step 1) + (test separation distance ‐ 50
      mm)∙10] mW at > 1500 MHz and ≤ 6 GHz ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ formula (2)

The GPRS850 time average tune‐up power is 28dBm +/‐ 1dB, 29dBm (825mW)@824.2 MHz. Based
upon the formula (1) , the SAR exclusion threshold is 29.4dBm

The GPRS1900 time average tune‐up power is 26dBm +/‐ 1dB, 27dBm (501mW)@1852.4 MHz.
Based upon the formula (2) , the SAR exclusion threshold is 31.5dBm

The WCDMA Band II tune‐up power is 23dBm +/‐ 1dB, 24dBm (251mW)@1852.4 MHz.
Based upon the formula (2) , the SAR exclusion threshold is 29.4dBm

Therefore, standalone SAR are not required.
