Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The STA will enable Xwing to test Fortem Technology DA-R20 radar. It is a low weight, low power radar. We are one of the first customers of Fortem and they operated with an OTE STA (file number 1471-EX-ST-2016, call sign WK9XMW).
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Radar testing This ultra-small SWAP-C radar has been designed to enable UAVs to detect and avoid other airborne vehicles, thus allowing them to safely fly Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS). We are testing this radar mounted on a helicopter to validate its performance.
