Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
XCOM is has developed an advanced coherent distributed MIMO system for dense wireless deployments. XCOM indoor lab testing and validation is conducted under the granted experimental license (711-EX-CN-2020) at XCOM labs. XCOM is requesting a STA to enable a limited number of outdoor demonstrations within immediate coverage of the building.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  XCOM is requesting STA approval for following two demonstrations: 1. Enterprise operators have requested demonstration of the system to include indoor to outdoor as well as outdoor coverage. The STA would enable limited and temporary demonstrations of the system capabilities. Expected time frame is Oct-2021. 2. XCOM has been awarded a Phase-1 contract for the Navy Smart Warehouse 5G Network Enhancement Prototype (project NSC-20-2051). As part of final deliverable XCOM would conduct a demo at XCOM labs. The STA would enable the demo to include small scale outdoor demonstration to further validate the capabilities and performance in real world setting. Expected time frame is Mar-2022. Additionally, a temporary over-the-air network would enable data collection to validate system performance, over-the-air calibration, and reciprocity channel modelling assumptions for outdoor setup. The outdoor system would be temporary (e.g. tripod mounted RRU’s) and operation of limited duration. RF scans will be conducted prior to system operation, TX power will be adjusted to limit coverage to parking and seating area adjacent to building, less than 100m.
