Dear Mr Ghaffari,

The STA is requested solely for the 2.9 GHz mobile radar to operate in northern Alabama during a
NOAA-sponsored field experiment in Spring 2017. This is similar to a STA requested and approved last
year (call letters were WJ9XKG).

For this STA, I have requested fixed/mobile with a center located in Huntsville (At University of Alabama)
and a radius of 60 km. This is because the exact site for the radar has not yet been determined, but it will
be within this radius.

As a reminder, the radar has a vertically pointed beam only.
