Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The frequencies associated with the radiolocation system now under development in Germany are not available for licensing in the United States at the moment. This system is being developed for international use at an international sailing regatta in Miami.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Developmental testing and proof-of-concept testing of a radiolocation system developed by ST Sportservice of Germany (a division of Swiss Timing) for purposes of precise location of sailing vessels in a sailing regatta.
