Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Through this filing, Transcore respectfully seeks an extension of its Special Temporary Authority (STA), issued under OET File Number 0054-EX-ST-2007, so that it may complete its experimentation over the course of a second four week test period or until June 18, 2007. The initial STA was issued to cover testing during a four week period from April 20 to May 19, 2007. An extension is needed so that Transcore may resolve unforeseen problems with the integration of its RF equipment and the overhead laser scanning equipment associated with an RFID toll-tag tracking system. Transcore is analyzing a number of options to frame vehicles using the RFID system and overhead laser scanners. Additional time is required to ensure reliable operation of products intended for use overseas. Copies of the exhibits associated with File no. 0054-EX-ST-2007 are attached and incorporated by reference pursuant to FCC rules. The information contained in those exhibits continue to accurately describe the experimental operations.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Testing equipment prior to export. Transcore respectfully requests favorable agency action to continue its experimentation until June 18, 2007 in order to address unforeseen problems.
