Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Request is to allow radiation from the JELNS Sprial I radar set. This equipment was previously approved under Commission file number 0577-EX-ST-2004, call sign WC9XAL. Parameters of the radar set are classified and this information was submitted during the filling of the original STA request.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To allow radiation from the radar set to verify orginal electrical and mechanical performance parameters. If the equipment is deficient it will be repaired and re-tested to verify compliance with required specifications. It should be noted that the following two conditions of the original grand do not apply to the present request: 1.) The radar will be at ground level, not at altitude 2.)
