Regarding the two points raised in this communication:

1. In light of your guidance and after further discussion internally we wish to withdraw the request for
confidentiality.

2. Our hope is that the need of the STA is relatively brief. However, should system problems be
discovered which require changes in the hardware then time for those changes will be needed and their
effectiveness verified in a system test, followed by redoing the regulatory testing and TCB review
process. This possibility could easily take 5 or 6 months. It is our hope that this much time will not be
needed but cannot be certain until after the testing is performed.

Further, if problems are discovered then intermediate testing may be needed to explore potential
solutions, followed by the time required to implement them in a final design and verify and qualify that
implementation.
