Question 7 – Purpose of Experiment

The antennas in this experimental license application are used prior to launch, for RF checkouts of the
command path to the launch vehicle. As such, all tests at the launch complexes are performed
approximately two hours before launch, and at ports prior to ship departure for recovery operations.
The duration of a RF checkout test is less than five minutes.
