Subject: Request for Info - File # 0467-EX-CN-2017

Message:

Mr. Young,

In response to your request of October 6, SRC has implemented a 145MF3N mode to address possible
interference concerns in the 1400-1427 Radio Astronomy band. SRC will center this mode at the
frequencies assigned by the FAA. SRC will corrdinate with Aerospace and Flight Test Radio
Coordinating Council (AFTRCC). If operation in Syracuse is problematic, we can approach the FAA for a
frequency lower in L-Band that offers greater protection to the Radio Astronomy Band.

Further SRC will not require the use of the 175MF3N mode, which can be removed from our application
at Syracuse and Ft. Drum.
