                       FCC Application for Experimental License
                             FCC File Number: 0157-EX-CM-2017

SRC Inc., respectfully requests to the Federal Communications Commission to permit us to
modify our present Experimental License for a L1 GPS re-radiating antenna system at our
Chantilly VA location.

SRC wishes to remove the antenna that is presently installed in the hallway ceiling, and route
the re-radiated GPS signal to three rooms. This system will permit design and development to
occur with devices that have embedded (i.e., non-removable) GPS antennas. The GPS signal is
not sufficiently strong enough to penetrate the windows or reach the interior spaces of our
laboratory.

Since work with laboratory test equipment is required, testing in an outdoor environment is not
supportable for our programs. The GPS re-radiating system would permit design and
development to occur with the minimum disruption of work and in all weather conditions.

Our plan is to use our existing installed outdoor antenna on the roof of the building and feed the
coaxial cable through the existing conduit run into the room below. The amplifier and splitter
would be located inside a room. Coaxial cables would extend to reach the re-radiating antennas
to three rooms within our building: Rooms 11, 13, and 69. The gain of the amplifier would be
limited to provide GPS coverage only over the required distance to comply with FCC and NTIA
regulations. Calculations of our design are presented in Exhibit 4

SRC has also designated the “Stop buzzer” contact in the event interference is encountered to
be Mr. Mark Braunstein, Manager, Communications Devices 703-961-5519.
