Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The purpose of this request for Special Temporary Authorization is to perform preliminary calibration measurements of a prototype radar system. This effort is a precursor to a demonstration intended to show maturity of key technologies designed and developed by Raytheon. An application for licensing of the demonstration effort was submitted separately for a different Raytheon location.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To perform preliminary calibration measurements of a prototype radar system. Frequency authorization for 5.412, 5.442, and 5.472 GHz in the 5.4 to 5.5GHz band (C-Band) is being requested for the period of March 26 to August 20 2013. It will be used to perform preliminary calibration measurements of a prototype radar system.
