Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
As detailed in paragraph below, Raytheon seeks this STA in order to allow communication support testing and technical demonstrations of this Harris Radio solutions surveillance system.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To provide VHF command and control communications for a border surveillance system. Raytheon Company to provide VHF command and control communications for a border surveillance system based on Harris radio solutions. This site will provide for testing and evaluation of the system that will be deployed for border surveillance. This testing will conducted at New Mexico State University. We request (3) 25KHz Channels for this project.
