To operate in the 2360 -2390 MHz Telemetry for Aerial and 2196 - 2234
Band Terrestrial to provide Film coverage for Warbird Productions “Open World” at
Edward Air Force Base CA. 93524.

ATTN.: Microwave Branch

RF Film, Inc. hereby requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate in the 2360 -
2390 MHz telemetry band, pursuant to Section 21.25 of the Commission’s Rules. RF
Film, Inc. requests that the Commission grant it temporary authority to operate on the
frequency centered on 2375 MHz, 2200 MHz and 2230 MHz all with 8 MHz bandwidth
from April 25, 2018 with intermittent usage and ceasing operation on May 24, 2018.
As explained below, RF Film, Inc. is filing an STA request for the shooting of “Open
World” a Warbird Prod. feature film at and around Edwards Air Force Base. RF Film, Inc.
submits that there are extraordinary circumstances warranting a grant of the STA
request.

Warbird Productions LLC. has contracted RF Film, Inc. to provide the necessary
microwave for the shooting of this movie. Due to the extreme frequency congestion in
the Kern County CA. area, coupled with the added congestion from traditional Television
and News coverage of special events in the area, RF Film requests the use of a channel
in the 2360-2390MHz Telemetry Band.

RF Film, Inc. certifies that the operation of the requested channel for the purposes
specified herein will not cause interference to any established stations.

Grant of the instant request for STA in the 2.3GHz band would serve the public interest
by enabling RF Film, Inc. to supply the requested remote video coverage for this event.
The proposed service would enhance filming of the event by providing on the spot
pictures from mobile locations that would not otherwise be available to the production
company. RF Film, Inc., is in the process of obtaining the consent of the relevant
frequency coordinators for this project, including AFTRCC. AFTRCC has indicated its
intent to forward the results of the coordination to the Commission.

In accordance with Section 74.633 of the Commission’s Rules, the following is provided:
