To Operate in the 2300 -2390MHz Telemetry
Band to Provide Television Coverage in Los Angeles, California.

ATTN.: Microwave Branch

RF Film, Inc. hereby requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate in the 2300-
2390MHz telemetry band pursuant to Section 21.25 of the Commission’s Rules. RF Film,
Inc., requests that the Commission grant it temporary authority to operate on the
frequency centered on 2368MHz with a 16 MHz bandwidth from February 16, 2016 with
intermittent usage and ceasing operation on March 16, 2016. As explained below, RF
Film, Inc. is filing an STA request for the shooting of a Turner Broadcasting television
show currently titled “The Last Ship” being shot in and around Los Angeles, California.
RF Film, Inc., submits that there are extraordinary circumstances warranting a grant of
the STA request.

TBS has contracted RF Film, Inc., to provide the necessary microwave for the filming of
this movie. Due to the extreme frequency congestion in the Los Angeles area, coupled
with the added congestion from traditional Television and News coverage of the special
event, RF Film requests the use of channels in the 2300 - 2390 MHz Telemetry Band.

RF Film, Inc. certifies that the operation of the requested channel for the purposes
specified herein will not cause interference to any established stations.

Grant of the instant request for STA in the 2.3GHz band would serve the public interest
by enabling RF Film, Inc to supply the requested remote video coverage for this event.
The proposed service would enhance filming of the event by providing on the spot
pictures from mobile locations that would not otherwise be available to the production
company. RF Film, Inc., is in the process of obtaining the consent of the relevant
frequency coordinators for this project, including AFTRCC. AFTRCC has indicated its
intent to forward the results of the coordination to the Commission.
