Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
STA is necessary due to immediate, short-term need of TT&C support from additional ground stations during review of pending modification application (0272-EX-CM-2020).

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  PointView Tech requests extension of Special Temporary Authority for 30 days to allow the Athena satellite to communicate with, and transmit to, two earth stations located at 19? 0’ 50” N, 155 39’ 48” W in Neelahu (County of Ka’u), Hawaii and at 64? 48’ 15” N, 147? 30’ 1” W in Northpole, Alaska during the pendency of its modification application (File No. 0272-EX-CM-2020). The earth stations will be used for telemetry, tracking and control communications with the satellite in the portions of the S- and X- frequency bands for which PointView Tech is already authorized. The authority sought here will allow PointView Tech’s partners to continue to use the increase in the diversity of the earth stations conducting communications with the satellite and to accelerate and facilitate the commissioning of the satellite’s bus.
