Yes, Nimesh. embarassingly, the new STA application that I filed used the ERP of 1.259 kW but I was subsequently
informed by the applicant's engineer that it was actually only 486.64 (a TPO of 4 watts times the antenna gain of 23 dB
with virtually no transmission line loss). So just now I amended the newly filed application to finally specify the actual,
accurate ERP of 486.64. I should have immediately sent you a head's up about this and I apologize for the confusion but
the application as it stands now is actually correct.

Thank you for your help with this. I am not always this disorganized!
Best, Chris

 Chris,

Thank you. I noticed you mentioned in the email below that the ERP is 1.259 kW. I looked at the 1988‐EX‐ST‐2018 STA
and the ERP field has a 486.64 W value. Could you please verify this?

 V/r,

 Nimesh

Tony I have completed, filed and paid for the new STA application as you recommended. File No. 1988‐EX‐ST‐2018.
Thanks to you and to Mr. Sangani for the help with this and the good advice. Welcome to the Commission Mr. Sangani.
There are great people there who I have enjoyed working with for the past 40 years.

                                                             1

Kind regards, Chris

 Hi Chris

The power difference is not trivial so it will need to go back to NTIA for coordination. Especially since it is on a base.

Go ahead and file a new STA using the previous one as a template. Specify in the text that it is for the same purpose
but the power is revised. NTIA will still need their coordination time but luckily we are much better on our backlog so
we can send this out when you file. Nimesh is our new engineer in the branch and will be the one to pick it up.

 Regards,

 Tony

Greetings, Tony. I would impose on you once again to ask for advice as to the fastest process of fixing an error in a
granted STA. I filed this application October 22 for operation in support of an Air Force contract on behalf of my client,
Persistent Systems, LLC and your office very efficiently and quickly granted it two weeks ago, for which I am grateful.

However, apparently due to misinterpretation of information provided to me, I specified an incorrect TPO and ERP.
The TPO in the application should have specified 4 watts, not 2 watts and the antenna is a 23 dB gain, C‐Band dish. So
the ERP shown in the granted STA (4 watts) is substantially in error. The actual ERP is, I am informed, 1.259 kW. There
 are no other changes required.

My question is how to correct this most expeditiously and with least burden on your staff. It is the hope of Persistent
Systems to commence this testing for the Air Force beginning next week. Is there a means of amending a granted STA

                                                             2

or would I have to file a new one. I know that there are modifications for an Experimental License done with the Form
442, but I have never had to modify a granted STA before.

Thanks for any advice you can provide. I will take whatever action your recommend today.

 Kind regards, Chris
