Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA is for daytime flight testing of the Man Portable Unit 5 (MPU5) radio. We will require use of the frequency 2222MHz, 2237MHz, 2262MHz, and 2272MHz from 09/01/17 to 20/09/17 in Greenville, TX (KGVT). Only one of the above frequencies will be used at a time. Altitude: Max 10500 ft. MSL Direction of Flight: KGVT and East

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The purpose of this operation is proof of concept/baseline testing for the Man Portable Unit 5 or MPU5 for air-to-ground links up to 30km at lower S-band frequencies(2200-2300MHz). This testing will serve as a baseline for future air-to-ground applications for small manned and unmanned aircraft for all parties involved. There will be one ground based directional antenna and one airborne mobile antenna.
