Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Parallel Wireless seeks to perform testing of a prototype cellular base station in the Band 14 public safety LTE band. Parallel Wireless’s existing licenses do not cover the area and dates of the trial.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The main purpose of the operation is testing. There is no commercial activity taking place as part of this testing. Rather, the testing is proof-of-concept. The testing will be part of an ongoing collaboration with Texas A&M University. For this testing, a CWS-1xx will be installed on a vessel in the Galveston Bay. The CWS-1xx will be providing backhaul for the ship while also in communication with the fixed unit located at the Ocean & Coastal Studies Building, located at the Texas A&M University. Testing of our equipment is desired to determine whether Parallel Wireless would be able to enable a public safety network to be implemented in a nautical setting.
