Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The Special Temporary Authority is necessary for Parallel Wireless to demonstrate a prototype network system cellular base station in the Band 14 public safety LTE band. Parallel Wireless’s existing Special Temporary Authorities do not cover the area and dates of the demonstration. The experiment will take place at and around Baker College, 2000 St Clair Street, Port Huron, MI 48060 and the Blue Water Bridge, Port Huron, MI, during the specified dates. The experiment will be for the fourth Canada-U.S. Enhanced Resiliency Experiment (CAUSE), which uses cross-border information-sharing experiments to help increase resilience at the northern border. CAUSE IV will be a joint effort of Parallel Wireless, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), and the Defence Research and Development Canada’s Centre for Security Science (DRDC CSS).

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The objective of this demonstration is to showcase network capabilities in the Band 14 public safety LTE band. The demonstration will take place at and around Baker College, 2000 St Clair Street, Port Huron, MI 48060 and the Blue Water Bridge, Port Huron, MI, during the specified dates. The experiment will be part of an ongoing experiment series, Canada-U.S. Enhanced Resiliency Experiment (CAUSE), to help increase resilience at the northern border. This demonstration will utilize one CWS-1XX, one CWS-2XXX, and one CWS-2XX from Parallel Wireless that provide Band 14 LTE coverage. Both the CWS-1XX and the CWS-2XXX will be fixed units, located at Baker College. The CWS-2XX unit will be installed in an ambulance that will be traveling back and forth on the Blue Water Bridge. There is no mission-critical aspect to this particular demonstration.
