Here are some comments and questions that need to be addressed:

1. ODAR signatures look to be all from the same person. Explain.
2. ODAR references an appendix, but it is not provided. Submit this.
3. We are aware of a possible NASA Thinsat that we understood would be part of this mission; no
mention of it here and we are wondering if it is separate or if it is included in the showing we have. The
mission description says the authorization is only for STEM purposes.
4. Trackability—this is not addressed in the documents. The satellites are less than 10 cm in one
dimension. However, given the very low altitude at which they will be released, there should be good
radar data concerning the objects, and in any event the orbital lifetime of the objects will be exceedingly
short. Identifying and cataloging the individual objects will be challenging, given the very short orbital
lifetime, which may exceed the typical time taken for cataloging. Will there be any special steps taken to
assist the 18th SPCS in cataloging these objects?
5. Provide an RF compatibility for the Globalstar modem. Given the low altitude, we could perhaps
expect a higher pfd on the ground. The mechanism for pointing should perhaps be looked at for
reliability, or there should be a worst-case analysis included that assumes the pointing mechanism
doesn’t work and the modem is pointed toward the ground.
6. Provide an RF compatibility analysis also for the 2450 MHz earth station.
7. Provide the associated earth station information in the SpaceCap as well.

The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced
application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of August 15, 2018 may result in
application dismissal pursuant to Section 5.67 and forfeiture of the filing fee pursuant to Section 1.1108.
