Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Navini Networks is developing a state of the art radio communication system using Smart Antenna Technology in the 2.4GHz to 2.483GHz range. The system consists of Base Stations and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). We are requesting an STA (Special Temporary Authority) to evaluate our products performance and determine customer acceptability. The Base and CPE units have been designed and to meet FCC part 15. The CPE devices will be returned to Navini upon completion of the trial if authorization of those units is not obtained. This requirement is written in the trial contracts with our customers. This updated STA is requested to add Pennsylvania to the location information. The success of the product is dependent on the CPE and Base Station tolerance to RF characteristics. As a result of this STA, we will be able to perform extensive field experiments. The data collected will ensure the development of a product that meets the highest quality, industry standards and government regulations.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Test and evaluation of RF communications devices that use smart antenna technology.
