                    Re: Navini Networks, Experimental License
                              —— Information Request ——

Dear Mr. Ungar:

I wanted to follow up on our telephone conversation of April 24, 2002, where we
discussed the request of Dallas MDS Partners ("Dallas MDS") for information concerning the
operations of Navini Networks, Inc.(‘"‘Navini") under its experimental license as it may affect the
operations of Dallas MDS station, Call Sign, WMY464. Subsequently, Navini filed its letter of
April 26"" with the Commission indicating that it has "committed itself to experimental activities
that are henign to its neighbors."

In that regard, Dallas MDS respectfully requests such technical information regarding
Navini‘s experimental operations within the Dallas MDS protective service area (including
Navini‘s network base station and subscriber units) as would assist Dallas MDS to evaluate the
impact of those operations upon an adjacent channel licensee. Dallas MDS believes that such
information should include to the extent possible:

e Base Station Information: antenna height, antenna pattern, transmit power level,
number of carriers and widths, modulation type and duration, carrier frequency
tolerance and out—of—band emissions, and transmitter final output filter mask
                    pattern; and,

Mr. Robert J. Ungar, Esq.

e Subscriber Station Information: in addition to those items requested above for
Base Station Information, include types of subterminals (e.g. fixes, mobile,
               personal, etc.).

In the event you believe the matter continues to require counsel‘s participation, please
feel free to contact me. Otherwise, Navini may forward the information directly to:

                                      Cordially,
