Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Pursuant to Section 5.3(d) and (f) and Section 5.61 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 5.3(d), (f), 5.61 (2012), Motorola Solutions, Inc., hereby respectfully requests special temporary authority (STA) from July 31, 2014 through August 6, 2014, to operate in the 758-768/788-798 MHz bands for the purpose of demonstrating prototype broadband Long-Term Evolution (LTE) equipment to public safety agencies at the annual Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials (APCO) Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
