MRTC Motorsport Communications MRTC, Ltd. Application for Special Temporary Authority File No. 1054-EX-ST-2014 PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice and telemetry that is in the developmental stage. The tests will occur at a single racing venue at Sebring, Florida during the month of December, 2014. The system will be deployed by the Extreme Speed race team. The race team will use the communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by MRTC Motorsport Communications. The event during 2014 when this system will be deployed are as follows: Sebring, FL Raceway: December 8-12, 2014 inclusive. The applicant requires for this venue two VHF frequency pairs as specified in this application in the range 159, 152 and 163 MHz for simplex and duplex voice operations. The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the VHF channel ranges sought and proposes what are believed to be unoccupied channels in the area of the Sebring Raceway.
