PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION

The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice
and telemetry that is in the developmental stage. The tests will occur at a series of racing events
at automobile racing venues as shown below. The system will be deployed by two separate race
teams, AF Corse and Mazda Joest at three of the four locations, and onkly by Mazda Joest at the
Weathertech Sportscar Championship at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA. The race teams will use
the communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by
MRTC Motorsport Communications. It will consist of one 20 portable transceivers and several
mobile units per team located principally in the cars and in the pits. Some channels will be used
on a simplex basis and some on a voice basis.

The Weathertech Sportscar Championship events during 2018 when this system will be deployed
are as follows:

Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca: September 7-9, 2018.
Watkins Glen Raceway: June 29-July 1, 2018.
Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin: August 3-5, 2018.
Road Atlanta, Braselton, GA: October 11-13, 2018.

The applicant requires sixteen VHF channels for simplex and duplex voice operations and four
UHF channels for simplex voice transmissions.

The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the VHF channels sought and
proposes what are believed to be unoccupied channels in the area of each raceway. The UHF
channels are in the land mobile 450-470 MHz band appear to be clear in the regions including
the above locations. Nevertheless, should any interference be reported, all operation on the
subject channels will cease and not resume unless and until all interference is resolved.

The “stop buzzer” contacts on site on behalf of the applicant will be Mr. Guiseppe Corti, whose
mobile number is +39 335 443572 and Mr. Ralf Juettner whose mobile number is +49 172 911
