                 PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION

The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice
communications that is in the developmental stage. The test will occur at a racing event at
Daytona Motor Speedway during the Classic Sportscar racing events on November 11-16, 2014.
The race team deploying this system will be GT3 Racing. The race team will use the
communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by MRTC
Motorsport Communications. It will consist of mobile and portable transceivers.

The event will be at Daytona, Florida at the Daytona Motor Speedway: November 11-16, 2014.

The applicant requires two VHF channels for simplex voice operations using 11K2F3E
emissions centered at 164.5375 MHz and 159.6125 MHz.

The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the UHF channels sought and
proposes what are believed to be unoccupied channels in the area of the raceway.
