Dear Sir/Madam:

This letter is to request an STA for the purpose of demonstrating Lucent Technologies
state of the art wireless broadband basestation equipment at the annual Cellular
Telecommunications & Internet Association ( CTIA ) convention in New Orleans,
LA from 3/14/05 – 3/16/05. This technology demonstration will provide CDMA EVDO
wireless broadband access that will be limited to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
floor.

The equipment used will be one Lucent 1800 MHz basestation (model KPCS 4.0). This
basestation operates in a 1.25 MHz band for both the downlink and the uplink
frequencies. The downlink and the uplink are separated by 90 MHz and can transmit
anywhere in the following bands:

Downlink band: 1840 – 1855.625 MHz
Uplink band: 1750 – 1765.625 MHz

For the purposes of this demonstration, transmit power can be limited to 0 dBm or as
required using a simple magnetic mount antenna or directional antenna if desired.
Antenna gain would also be as required and the antenna height would not exceed 3
meters.

Thank you for your assistance. If there are any questions, please contact me at the
numbers listed below.

Sincerely,

Joseph DeMottie
