On behalf of Lucent Technologies, I am requesting that an Experimental License and new call sign be
issued in accordance with the provisions of 47 CFR Part 5 – Experimental Radio Service. The required
information, fees and a Request for Confidentiality are attached.

The following information is provided in accordance with 47 CFR § 5.63 (c) An application for
authorization may be filed in letter form and shall contain the following information:

                        included in the exhibit that is designated as “Confidential”, in accordance with the
                       provisions set forth in 47 CFR 0.457 (d).


 4.   Time and dates of proposed operation.
         Response: Between February 2005 and December 2005 during the day and night.

        Response: (1) Fixed WiMax base station (28 dBm), a CW transmitter (30 dBm), and a WiMax
                       subscriber unit (20 dBm)
                       (2) Request for a new call sign is the subject of this application.

6.   Description of the location(s) and, if applicable, geographical coordinates of the proposed operation.
       Response: Selected homes within a 20-mile radius of Whippany, NJ
                      (NL40-49-08 WL 74-24-40)

       Response: The WiMax base station transmitter antenna will be placed above the surrounding
                      clutter and the subscriber antenna locations will include rooftops for the baseline.
                      Antenna heights are anticipated as high as 12 meters.
