Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
**This request is identical to already-granted application 0684-EX-ST-2021, except we require a small change to the transmit power of the airborne transmitter (up to 0.5 W) necessitated by updated CONOPS.** Applicant proposes to conduct short-term technology demonstration at Camp Grayling, MI, for the United States Army. Because the operations are limited in scope and duration, an STA is appropriate. Lockheed Martin has entered into a Cooperative Research And Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Army to support this activity.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To test handheld devices for a 5G network to provide two-way communication that will relay information to a network of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This short-term testing will involve utilizing handheld devices leveraging a 5G network to task and provide two-way communication between users and a ground based 5G hub that will relay information to a network of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The aircraft will be operated consistent with FAA Part 107 and will not exceed 400 feet AGL in altitude. All outdoor testing operations will be conducted exclusively at Camp Grayling. Applicant proposes to use the N71 channel band, consistent with the capabilities of the radio.
