Thanks for clarifying. We agree to your proposed STA operations, which would last through October 15, 2018. However,
if you plan to operate past that date, please let us know as we will need to do additional interference analyses at that
point.

 Happy to provide any detail!

We're looking to commence by 4/15, thus through 10/15 as styled on the FCC form for OET consideration.

I'm happy to discuss also, if that would be helpful.

Thanks. If it's a six-month STA, when would its start and end date be roughly? I should have asked before, so I
 apologize!

 Good afternoon, George.

The current plan is to conduct a six-month STA to test and validate system performance to demonstrate to DARPA
system capabilities. There are no current plans to renew before that limited term. If future additional testing might be
required, we understand that we would have to negotiate anew with parties, if the same frequencies should be
 necessary.

 Ryan

Ryan,

My colleague, Joel Spark, forwarded me your email as I deal with spectrum coordination issues for Spire. What is the
duration of the STA associated with the mentioned operations? Do you have plans to renew the STA?

Kind regards,
George

Hi, Joel.

We are working with DoD/DARPA on the development of a new technology, which requires testing in various UHF
frequencies. We wish to request FCC authority for an experimental Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate on
three channels, including 440.0 MHz, at our locations in and around Goodyear, Arizona and Fort Walton Beach, Florida
(in conjunction with Eglin Air Force Base).

Even as our operations center at 440.0 MHz, we understand that the DARPA bandwidth requirements could mean that
our transmissions would overlap Spires' operations in 449.75-450.25 MHz, depending on proximity of our operations to
your earth station locations.

A description of the operations for operations is provided in the attached draft application exhibits.

If our proposed operations would pose no potential of interference to your operations, we respectfully request your
consent, which I can transmit to the FCC by email.

Thanks very much,
Ryan
