We are working with DoD/DARPA on the development of a new technology, which requires testing in various UHF frequencies. We wish to request FCC authority for an experimental Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate on three channels, including 440.0 MHz, at our locations in and around Goodyear, Arizona and Fort Walton Beach, Florida (in conjunction with Eglin Air Force Base). Even as our operations center at 440.0 MHz, we understand that the DARPA bandwidth requirements could mean that our transmissions would overlap Spires' operations in 449.75-450.25 MHz, depending on proximity of our operations to your earth station locations. A description of the operations for operations is provided in the attached draft application exhibits.
