Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The US Army's Program Executive Office Soldier is participating in an experiment during the annual PACMAN exercise called Manned and Unmanned Teaming Ground (MUM-T(G)). The experiment integrates numerous autonomous and semi-autonomous systems in support of the dismounted warfighter while utilizing cellular LTE network waveforms as part of the system architecture. The dismounted Warfighter will be using Nett Warrior, a command, control and situational awareness system that runs on off-the-shelf LTE-capable smartphones. During this experiment, full motion video and other capabilities that require significant network bandwidth will be evaluated. This experiment is also in support of the Manuever Center of Excellence at Ft Benning, GA which is the Infantry command and training center. This STA is required in order to transmit on the LTE frequencies. LTE provides a network with large throughput and minimal latencies. We will be operating on Band 17.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To support of the dismounted warfighter while utilizing cellular LTE network waveforms as part of the system architecture. The types of operations during the MUM-T event will consist of standard combat maneuvers conducted by mounted and dismounted troops in a jungle environment while employing various types of sensors. These sensors utilize their own networks that will be integrated into higher and more robust LTE network.
