Nevertheless, in order for your renewal application to be processed with respect to these 2 frequencies, a prior coordination with the regional FAA office and obtaining NGT numbers is required. Because the licenses do not expire until December 2013, there is no further action required of the FAA at this time. I have sent a response to our HQ requesting confirmation. Normally I would await a response, but given the requested due date and the possibility of a government shutdown I wanted to provide you with some information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me (or my manager, Stephanie Thomas) if we are shutdown. Regards, Charles A. Although Mr. Thornton indicates that he has requested confirmation from FAA headquarters, we have not received further information from FAA, as the government shut-down has just commenced. Please advise what additional steps you wish for the applicant to take, if any, with respect to your request for FAA coordination.
