Experimental Station WC2XKX Purpose of the Continuing Experiments FCC File #: 0159-EX-RR-2002 [Reference Number: 2368] Confirmation Number: EL12822 LBA Technology has a continuing program of antenna system development to be supported by future testing under WC2XKX. Among the programs to be supported are the following: 1. LBA expects to undertake a program to qualify TUP-3 derivatives as short emergency antennas for broadcast use by FEMA and other Homeland Security organizations, as well as for emergency use by the Coast Guard for replacement of DGPS and NAVTEX antennas. 2. The TGR-50 man-portable medium-wave antenna has been developed under this license, but is limited in power and frequency ranges. Further testing is needed to optimize this antenna for various medium-wave applications, primarily in the emergency area. 3. LBA Technology has been developing and selling medium-wave antennas and broadcast products for almost 40 years and has significant expertise in the field. Some typical items in the LBA product line are shown in the attachment. This product line is supported through a rigorous program of testing and of research and development, in which the WC2XKX license has been, and will continue to be, pivotal.
