ELS Attachments: Supporting Document

1. FCC IDs of the equipment at this time are:
On Gas meters: EWQ500Gx
On Water meters: EWQRIVAWA (w/pit lid remote antenna)

2. The devices are already deployed in the field and therefore will be labeled with the above FCC
IDs.

3. We will do a firmware download over the air to the meter transceivers, to add this new
GFSK/50kbps modulation/data rate functionality to the meter transceivers for the experiment.
The node the meter transceivers will be communicating with is all ready approved for this
modulation, for other systems.

4. The 8 modulations under the FCC IDs listed here are still capable from the devices and maybe
used.

5. At this time the devices are still under Itron control, while they are owned by the customer.

6. If there is a request to disable the devices a command can be sent to the devices over the air from
the node. To address all the endpoints, it could take a couple of days.

7. If there are devices an ack is not received, we will visit the endpoints and use a handheld device
on the current modulations to shut them down.

8. At the end of the program we will re-program the devices to take them back to their original
configuration to be compliant to the FCC IDs on them.
